Hello NZ Four Seasons Safari's
 We had our first opportunity to hunt on New Zealand
s South Island with Shane Johnston as our guide. We hunted for
Red Stag and Chamois in March of 1998.
We had a great time, saw lots of country in our pursuit of
these animals of the wild. The hunt was physically challenging,
but totally exhilarating with a definite sense of accomplishment,
as the terrain is very rough and mountainous. During our hunt we
found that Shane was very knowledgeable of the animals and the
area we were hunting. Also a very good cook, easy to get along
with and has a terrific sense of humor. He is an intense guide,
determined to make the hunt successful and enjoyable. We were
successful in getting our Alpine Chamois in the area we hunted,
but not our Red Stag, we succeeded in getting him in another area
of hunting. The Red Stag was not the fault of our guide, but in
circumstance (commercial hunting in the same area we hunted at
the same time).
We would recommend hunting with Shane Johnston anytime, he is
totally fit physically, takes care of his clients and makes sure
that you have the time of your life. We would not hesitate to
book a hunt with him in the future as we are sure that he would
do the hunt to the best of our and his ability.
